San Jose Giants Seek New Scoreboard to Kick Off a New Season
The San Jose Giants are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Since 1988, they have enjoyed one of the best records in the minor leagues and have become wildly popular in the community. During an off season, the San Jose Giants realized a new scoreboard would help them keep up with growing demand and enhance the fan experience, as it is a main communication point between the stadium and its fans. To move forward with the upgrade, they reached out to City National—their main bank—and City National pulled in First American to discuss financing options.

A New LED Scoreboard Lights Up Opening Day
The San Jose Giants appreciated the ability to leverage First American’s leasing and financing solutions through their existing banking relationship with City National Bank. First American worked quickly to get a new scoreboard in place before the start of the new season, assigning a dedicated Project Manager to handle the bulk of the project’s administrative burden. This included making progress payments to fund vendor deposits and working with the City of San Jose to get proper permitting and signoffs to make sure the scoreboard would be up and running in time for opening day.
